Absolutely 5 star! Every contact I had with them was great! Wendy is so thorough and really wants to help you find the best place for your loved one. If I ever need to move my Dad again I would absolutely call her again. I highly recommend Senior Care Referral Specilists!!

Food was excellent and caregivers were the best!
Excellent referral. I could not have been more satisfied. The care at Paradise Home was absolutely wonderful. The owner and staff were very thoughtful. My mom was always kept clean. Her clothes were clean. Home was clean, Home was tastefully furnished and decorated. Food was excellent and caregivers were the best! Thanks so much!

We are very happy with the care
Boy, it has been long while since I've used your service. When I did call asking about board and cares I was given several names of places in my area. I'm sorry I don't remember the name of the gentleman who helped me. He was very helpful with input on a couple of the places on the list. He was also good at follow up calling me at least 3 times after our initial contact. We did end up choosing one of the referrals for my mother's care, Angel Care, Fontana. She has been there 15 months now. We are very happy with the care.

When I had to find a Care Facility VERY quickly for my Dad who had Dementia I called Senior Care Referral Specialists to assist me. I had NO clue where to start and only had 1 week to find a quality home. I was so stressed that I couldn't think straight. They took my hand and walked me through the whole process. I placed my Dad and within weeks Mom wanted to be with him of course. The facility that was caring for Dad in their Dementia unit also has Assisted Living for those who can basically care for themselves and we got Mom placed there as well. They got to have meals together sit outdoors together and take walks in the lovely courtyard daily. Senior Care Referral Specialists followed up with me often and truly made an extremely difficult situation doable. Most helpful! We had to handle re-settling our loved one in California while living in Michigan. They did all the ground work, listened to our concerns and critical few wants, then made very well tailored proposals. When I arrived on site to do the actual visits, everything was lined-up and the search was soon over. Could not have done it without them. Many thanks.

All that and only 10 minutes from my home
I could not be more pleased with the work that your company did for us. I’m already telling my friends and family how wonderful it was to have such prompt and caring attention to our needs. Your consultant was on the phone to my wife within an hour of the home care agency’s referral to you. By the next morning, she had the ideal residential care facility located and an appointment set for that same day. Wow! How many businesses can claim such a response time? The care setting has everything I was hoping to find and the owner has been wonderful at every step of the way. My mother keeps telling me how good the food is and how kind the staff is. Attention to her every need is outstanding, including daily care for her two cats. I have seen a dramatic improvement in my mother’s health in just a week, now that she is getting regular meals and medical attention. All that and only 10 minutes from my home. Who could ask for more? I also appreciate the follow ups (email, phone and letter) to make sure everything went as planned. You can count on me to offer my recommendation to anyone who would like to hear from a satisfied customer.

Donna Janzen was an amazing referral specialist! Over the course of several months, I went thru about 3 rounds of 5-10 retirement communities each, searching for a place for my grandmother. I lost count after I looked at over 25 homes. It was a particularly challenging search because over time my grandmother's needs kept changing. Donna continually revised her search after each needs changed completely undaunted. Not only that but she provided emotional support through phone calls and emails during the hardest time in my life. Being the only relative to deal with a grandmother with severe dementia who adamantly refuses to leave her home was an extremely difficult task, to say the least. Donna's support during this time was invaluable to me. My grandmother is now at one of the last places I toured. It is only for memory care, has beautiful murals of San Diego, lots of skylights and the residents seem to be really happy there. We finally found our match.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to you for all your wonderful help with getting my mom settled in a new home. You were my angel when I was at a loss. I received very sudden word that my mom had to move, and you miraculously appeared. You were so helpful in finding out what might be the best fit for my mom, and you offered me options I never knew were available. Within 3 days my mom had her new placement, thanks to you. Your kindness and understanding during this stressful time was so calming to me, and you made the process go so smoothly. I am moving mom into her new home tomorrow, and I feel so at peace with this decision; this would not be the case without you. Thank you for all your genuine caring and knowledgeable help.

I have spent a little time this morning getting to know what assisted living, nursing homes and micro communities are. It's very interesting... and I now know and have a better understanding of what options are out there. I do believe you assessed our conversation very well and understand the fit for my dad....thank you for listening. Of course I do not know what is in store for us down the road and only time will tell how the aging progression will go. We do not have a history of dementia nor Alzheimer's in his family line. His mind is sound but his body is declining. The home idea was one I had never knew about as an option... I guess I had thought that they were some type of senior day care or drop off facilities that were solely financed by the family. The more time I spend on reading I do believe this may work better than a nursing home providing he doesn't have progressive complications that only time will reveal and if so we can take appropriate action at that time. A fear of mine was that a nursing home would break his spirit and will...and if that were to happen he would not be the man I know and have known. My desire is probably that of many children and that is for him to be happy and comfortable in his sunset....I don't want him to feel stripped of what he has always had ...independence...and while we both know he needs help with this...this has a more dignified appeal and approach. I do believe his fears of being alone and falling or need of help will dissipate and life will will feel easier to him. I will be headed over to the Heart Felt Home location this morning and I have my kids soccer game after that at 12:45pm. I will call as soon as I leave the facility or you may also call me anytime if you have more information. I cannot thank you enough....I was terrified yesterday and I know I must have been a rambling idiot, this has been a path I never wished to cross and yet the guidance you are providing is assuring me that it can work. I have longed to just sit down with my dad and have a cup of coffee without feeling the anxiety of wondering does he have enough groceries until I see him the next time, does he have all his medicine, does he need or have clean clothes, is his house clean, do I need to rearrange his furniture so he doesn't fall...and so it goes on that I do not relax and just enjoy him and... vice versa. He told me yesterday that I run...not walk when I'm there to see to him...it's true...I'm always trying to make sure I have not forgotten anything and he is not without and I go to bed wondering if he is on the floor and can't get up...that fear always haunts me. What he needs now is a safe place and I need a comfortable frame of mind where he is concerned...thank you for helping in making that a possibility.

you were absolutely terrific in helping me find a place for dad. I spent dozens of hours trying to find a place for him, figure out the MediCal and a half dozen other things. Two thoughts stick out in my mind. First I can’t believe how unhelpful a dozen or more “experts” were. They sent me down rabbit trails, gave me wrong numbers and flat-out misinformation. I spent two half days at the county and no one told me about the Medical being unavailable for assisted living. Grrrrrrr… Second thought; you were a God-send. Personal, professional and proactive are the words I’d use to describe how you carried yourself. I wish I’d met you first, it would have saved me a huge amount of time, frustration and thousands of dollars because I would have avoided a costly extra move. Thank you!

Thank you for all your patience, effort, and assistance in helping us find a place for Greg. We talked with him today and he said he is doing much better than he was in Ridgecrest. He likes having a room of his own, gets along with the people there, and even plays Bingo! He still wants to drive and go hiking but he also realizes that he's going to be living there for a long time and can't afford anywhere else. So he is being more realistic but still wants to do things that he did in the past. But time will be the ultimate test. Bill and I are both grateful for your persistence in helping us surmount what seemed like insurmountable odds. We are so happy that Greg is in a better place and happier. Thanks so much.
